How do we locate the roof entry above a guest area?
A ceiling mark does not tell us whether water entered at a drain, curb, seam, parapet or roof-to-wall transition. It may have moved through insulation, deck flutes or framing before reaching the room. We use the reported interior location as a starting point, then inspect the plausible exterior route and compare visible evidence with any roof plan, past repair record or earlier leak report.
The hotel representative can identify the room or common area affected and say whether access below is available. That does not replace roof diagnosis, but it helps locate concealed conditions that may need inspection by another trade. We record observed wet material, visible defects and uncertain areas separately, so a decision-maker understands which part of the repair is confirmed and where additional investigation could change the scope.
Each roof penetration or curb should be evaluated as an assembly. A new patch has to meet compatible, sound material and restore the flashing geometry, not merely cover the side closest to the stain. If the existing roof has several generations of repair, identify what remains bonded and what must be removed before selecting the permanent connection.
Granville Arts Center is a Garland public venue and a local orientation point. For a hotel roof request, confirm the lodging property, affected rooms or service areas, and the manager who can approve access. The roof inspection should identify the actual assembly and water path before the owner sets a guest-area protection plan.
