What is loose at the perimeter?
We inspect the visible metal and flashing alongside fasteners, corners, joints and supporting construction. Movement at one piece can affect the material attached beside it. We check the roof covering where it approaches the edge and identify backing that is damaged or unable to receive the proposed attachment. We photograph the defect and show the removal necessary to reach usable construction. We ask the building contact about earlier repairs or observed movement that may help direct further examination without treating that history as the present repair boundary.
For roof edge metal, coping and gutter work, we explain the metal arrangement and the connection to the roof material. We identify a wall or support task needing another responsible contractor before the roof detail can be reconstructed. We review a proposed change in profile or dimensions before ordering dependent material. Where the concern is reported as wind damage to the roof, we document the actual damaged construction and examine the surrounding attachment. The repair recommendation should follow those findings, including another opening needed to determine how far the defect continues.
