What has been released for roof access
Fire response can leave a roof inaccessible while officials, the owner’s safety lead, structural professionals or restoration teams assess the building. The building contact identifies the authorized route, restricted areas, protective measures and the person who can approve an opening or temporary work before roof entry begins. If that release is partial, we define the boundary and keep the roofing examination within it.
Before disturbance, we record accessible conditions: displaced or missing covering, visible openings, affected curbs and edges, and any exposed deck or insulation that can be seen safely. We keep observations separate from conclusions that belong to fire investigators or engineers. A commercial roof inspection can document the roofing condition that is available to assess, while a temporary roof response can address an authorized opening without implying the permanent assembly is ready. The owner receives a clear account of what was visible and what remains concealed.
